Today we’re taking a closer look at two prints by artist Alison Saar with Michael Bramwell, our Joyce Linde Curator of Folk and Self-Taught Art! Located on the first floor of our Art of the Americas Wing, a juxtaposition of Saar’s contemporary prints with historical works examines the aesthetics of freedom. 🖼️: “Cotton Eater II” (2014), woodcut on Suzuki paper; “Reapers” (2021), linocut on hand-dyed found sugar sack cloth
